Condition & logistics
Running vs Not Running
Don’t worry if your motorcycle isn’t in perfect condition; we accept bikes that are running or not! Whether your ride has a few miles left in it or needs a complete overhaul, we’ll take it off your hands and ensure it's put to good use.
Title Issues
For your donation to go smoothly, just make sure the title is signed on the back with the odometer reading. If you’ve lost the title, we can guide you on how to obtain a duplicate. It's easier than it sounds!
Storage/Pickup Logistics
We know space can be tight, so we handle the pickup logistics! Just let us know where your motorcycle is located, and our team will coordinate a pickup time that works for you. No stress!
Title transfer & paperwork
When donating your motorcycle in Missouri, you’ll need to complete specific DMV paperwork. Make sure to sign the title with the odometer reading and fill out the Missouri Title Application form. Notarization may be required, so check if you need to get it notarized before donating. Also, don’t forget to return your license plates to the local DMV to avoid any future hassles!
Tax deduction for this donation
Donating your motorcycle can be a financially savvy move! Typically, you can expect a tax deduction in the range of $500 to $5,000, depending on the motorcycle's value and condition. Keep an eye out for Form 1098-C, which we will provide for your tax records, making tax season a little less daunting.
Local context — Kansas City
Kansas City is home to a vibrant riding community, with scenic routes like the historic Route 66 and thrilling off-road trails at the Kansas City Off-Road Cycling Association's park. Many motorcycle donations come from local residents facing life changes, such as divorce or relocation. Others may have simply decided that the trails aren't calling them as they used to. Whatever the reason, KCMO’s motorcycle enthusiasts often find themselves with a bike that needs a new purpose, and that’s where we come in.
